ARCLOGS was written in about 15 minutes to help
system operators maintain thier logs with minimal
effort. It accepts command line parameters and will store
the logs in the archive of your choice. There are four
archivers to choose from all listed in the configuration
section of this document.

PRODUCT SUPPORT
You can always get the latest version of ARCLOGS from my
BBS, Online Information Systems, 912-882-8667 and The
Dart Board 1:3640/5 HST D/S.
I will support anyone 100% via my system or netmail
whether you have registered or not. I carry an echo for
support which may be placed on the backbone one day which
will make it easier. The reason that I will support
registered users AND unregistered users is that I have
wanted to use a program and the author felt I should
register it before he would help me. This made me delete
the program and refuse to use it ever again.

CONFIGURATION
Copy the ARCLOGS.EXE into a directory pointed to by your path
environment variable.
Call ARLOGS with the following command line options.
/LC:\RA\RA.LOG <-- this is the input log name
/P1 <-- this is the archiver number you want to
use
1 - PKZIP.EXE
2 - LHARC.EXE
3 - PKPAK.EXE
4 - ARJ.EXE
/OC:\RA\RALOGS.ZIP <-- this is the output filename. Of
course the extension is the same as your archiver or you CAN
leave it off and let the archiver add it for you. The
command line options can be in any order, but they MUST be
seperated by a space. If there are any errors, the program
will NOT work, and generate an error.
Thats IT! Enjoy this FREEWARE program!

BUG REPORTS
If you notice any bugs which are due to my program(s),
you are encouraged to report them to me. It helps to report
bugs to the authors as sometimes they still sneak by the beta
testing mode. When reporting a bug, give as much
detail as possible and netmail it to me at 1:3640/13 or US
MAIL to:
Mark Spivey
ATTN: Bug Report
2900 Colerain Rd. #938
St. Mary's, GA 31558
USA
If you have in fact reported a bug and are the first to do
so, your name will be listed in the documentation as thanks
for your help in the development of USERBASE. You will also
be offered an opportunity to get pre-release BETA's to help
in the testing phase.
